Step 1. Creating an XSEDE User Portal Account

The first step in getting a personal allocation is to create an account on the XSEDE User Portal. This is the only way to submit an allocation request..

Just under the sign-in form is a link that says "CREATE ACCOUNT." Click that link. A form will appear. Just fill out that form and submit it.

The account should be created immediately, and you should receive an email notifying you of successful account creation.

If you are an undergraduate or graduate student, you will also need to get someone in your group who is a Postdoctoral or your Advisor to also request an account, so they can submit an application.

If you are a researcher at a non-US institution, you will also need to get your collaborator at a US institution to request an account, so they can submit an application.

Once this is done, the individual who will serve as PI can submit an allocation request.
